I-Corps company profile: CurieDx

CurieDx develops artificial intelligence-driven tools designed to analyze medical images and improve diagnoses. The company’s tools utilize smartphone images, deep learning artificial intelligence, and telehealth integration to diagnose common childhood illnesses from homes and other remote settings.

CurieDx is developing an AI home strep test as its first product.

The research that fuels CurieDx was jointly developed at Johns Hopkins University by a physician, engineer, and computer scientist team that was tired of scrambling to see a clinician every time their kids were sick. Together, they combined their expertise using AI and medical imaging to bring a suite of medical tests to customers’ fingertips.
